Alpine Bible Church (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at www.alpinebible.com (the “Site”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the limited information we collect. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you fill out a form on the Site — such as a contact, prayer request, food pantry, story, survey, or email-signup form — we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message.

Account information (staff and volunteers)

Our administrative area is restricted to invited church staff and volunteers. If you are invited to sign in, we use authentication to verify your identity. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account so we can create and secure your account. We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google data. Public visitors do not need an account to use the Site.

Information collected automatically

To understand how the Site is used, we record basic, privacy-respecting analytics for each page view: the page visited, a coarse approximate location (country, region, and city derived from your network), your device type and browser, and how you arrived at the Site (for example, a search engine or social link). We do not store your raw IP address — visitors are counted using a one-way hashed identifier that cannot be reversed to identify you. We do not use third-party advertising trackers and we do not sell or share this information for advertising.

Cookies

The public Site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Signed-in staff and volunteers receive a session cookie that is strictly necessary to keep them logged in and to protect their account. Some pages may use your browser’s local storage to remember preferences such as light/dark theme; this stays on your device.

How We Use Information

• To respond to your inquiries, prayer requests, and form submissions.
• To send transactional or requested emails (for example, replies, confirmations, or updates you signed up for).
• To operate, secure, and improve the Site and understand which content is helpful.
• To authenticate and protect staff and volunteer accounts.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Site, and only as needed to provide their service, including:

• Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, and security.
• Google — sign-in for staff and volunteer accounts.
• Resend / SendGrid — delivery of transactional and requested emails.
• Sentry — error monitoring to keep the Site reliable.
• Crossway (ESV API) — to display Scripture passages.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the church, our visitors, or others.

Google User Data

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google account information is used solely to provide secure sign-in for authorized church staff and volunteers and is never sold, transferred, or used for advertising.

Data Retention

We keep form submissions and account information for as long as needed to serve the purpose it was collected for and to meet our ministry, recordkeeping, and legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized. You may request deletion at any time (see below).

Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your Choices and Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and you may unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us. To make a request, email office@alpinebible.com.

Third-Party Links

The Site may link to other websites (for example, social media or giving platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
